Be sure to exit trail and go to Bonneville Dam (I-84 ramp crossing caution) and see Hermann the Sturgeon near the fish hatchery at its Eye-Level. If you continue to the eastern parking lot of Bonneville Dam, there is a great view of Beacon Rock. You will cross a 3 beautiful creeks (Ruckel, McCord & Moffet). Lots to learn about canopy fires which burn from the top to the ground. 2017 Eagle Creek Fire sterilized much of the soil & delayed water holding plants from growing more quickly. This delay contributed to landslides.
